The Philadelphia Eagles traded two-time Pro Bowl center Cam Jurgens to the Baltimore Ravens on Wednesday, a day after right tackle Lane Johnson retired.
Philadelphia sent Jurgens and a 2027 seventh-round pick to Baltimore for a 2027 fifth-round pick and a 2028 second-round pick.
Jurgens is in the concussion protocol after self-reporting symptoms following the loss to the Los Angeles Rams last week. He is not expected to play this week and is likely to make his Ravens debut in Week 6 at Cleveland.
Jurgens had been playing left guard for the Eagles after three-time Pro Bowl guard Landon Dickerson went on injured reserve with a knee issue. Second-year lineman Drew Kendall, a fifth-round pick out of Boston College, took over at center in Week 2 and is set to make his fourth straight start there when the Eagles face the Jacksonville Jaguars in London on Sunday.
Baltimore needed help at center after losing Tyler Linderbaum to the Las Vegas Raiders in free agency and then losing Danny Pinter, Jovaughn Gwyn and Ethan Pocic to injuries. Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta called Jurgens a young foundational piece along the offensive line.
