LOS ANGELES, Calif. — The Milwaukee Brewers carry a 2-0 National League Championship Series lead into Dodger Stadium for Game 3 on Wednesday night after William Contreras paced a 7-4 win in Game 2 at American Family Field.

Contreras delivered a trio of game-tying or go-ahead hits Monday, tying the game with a single in the first, again with a solo home run in the fifth, and putting Milwaukee ahead for good with a go-ahead single in the sixth after Los Angeles intentionally walked Brice Turang in front of him.

He became the fourth player to produce three game-tying or go-ahead hits in a single postseason game, joining Sandy Alomar Jr., Steve Garvey and George Brett. Contreras is hitting .391 this postseason with three home runs and four RBIs.

Four Brewers relievers retired 15 straight batters after the starter exited, and 42,516 fans at American Family Field roared through every base hit. The best-of-seven series now shifts to Los Angeles, where the atmosphere will be far less friendly.

Game 3 is Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET on FS1, FOX Deportes and FOX One. Milwaukee will try to push the two-time defending World Series champion Dodgers to the brink before the series can swing back.
