WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Washington Wizards will greet fans with free rally towels and a halftime concert when they open their home schedule against the Milwaukee Bucks at Capital One Arena on Wednesday, Oct. 21.
Tipoff is at 7 p.m. and doors open at 5:30. The first 15,000 people through the gates get a towel, and rapper Waka Flocka Flame performs at the break. The night also launches a seven-game Wednesday series at the arena.
More giveaways are lined up, including a Trae Young bobblehead on Nov. 16, a cherry blossom sweatshirt designed by Will Riley on Jan. 17 and an AJ Dybantsa rookie bobblehead on March 6.
Fans will see a very different roster from the one that went 17-65 and finished last in the East a season ago. Washington drafted Dybantsa first overall and signed Young to a four-year, $212 million deal.
The opener starts a busy first week, with Toronto visiting on Oct. 23 before the team heads to Chicago the next night.
