GREEN BAY, Wis. — Two teams coming off losses meet Thursday night at Lambeau Field, where the Carolina Panthers try to stay above .500 against a Green Bay Packers club that has its own list of injuries to manage.

Carolina arrives on a short week after a lopsided home defeat to Tampa Bay. The Panthers have ruled out linebacker Jaelan Phillips, guards Damien Lewis and Torricelli Simpkins and cornerback Akayleb Evans, and defensive tackle Bobby Brown is questionable. Quarterback Bryce Young, receiver Jalen Coker and kicker Ryan Fitzgerald carry no game designation and are set to play.

Green Bay fell 20-17 at Detroit on Sunday and lost two starters up front in the process. Center Sean Rhyan, hurt on the fourth snap against the Lions, and guard Travis Glover, who woke up with knee pain after playing every snap, are both out, along with linebacker Zaire Franklin.

Receiver Matthew Golden and defensive tackles Devonte Wyatt and Anthony Campbell are questionable, as is edge rusher Brenton Cox Jr. Head coach Matt LaFleur said he was hopeful Golden would be ready. Veteran guard Aaron Banks is cleared, giving the Packers options with Kevin Zeitler, Jager Burton and Donovan Jennings also available to fill in.

The ground game is the matchup to watch. Carolina has struggled to stop the run, and Green Bay has running back Josh Jacobs back in the lineup. On the other side, Chuba Hubbard and the Panthers rushing attack face a Packers defense whose pass coverage ranks ninth in yards allowed per game.
