OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. — The Washington Wizards were beaten 114-75 Saturday night in Oklahoma City, Okla., putting up their lowest point total since the 2017-18 season. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 30 and watched the final period from the bench.

Oklahoma City trailed 16-15, then closed the opening period on a 10-3 spurt to lead 25-19. A 16-4 push at the start of the second period, all of those points from Ajay Mitchell and Jared McCain while Gilgeous-Alexander rested, made it an 18-point game. Washington got as close as 14 early in the third before a 10-2 burst that included six points from Gilgeous-Alexander ended the rally.

AJ Dybantsa paced the Wizards with 19 points, and Alex Sarr finished with 15 points plus 14 rebounds. Trae Young managed only four points (1-for-6) and three assists in his return to Oklahoma, his first appearance there since the Wizards acquired him last season. Tre Johnson also scored four and missed 13 of 15 attempts. DeAndre Ayton exited late in the second period with a lower-leg injury after two points and one rebound and stayed out. Anthony Davis missed the game with a sore ankle. Washington made just 29.6 percent of its shots, a club low dating to December 2017, and has now dropped three in a row and five of seven.

McCain scored 19 as a reserve. Aday Mara, starting for only the second time, poured in 18 points (8-for-10) and collected eight rebounds, a high for his season, and Isaiah Hartenstein grabbed 14 rebounds. Without Holmgren, Williams and Wallace, who have been out since Oct. 25, Oklahoma City is 5-2. Washington has now lost nine consecutive games in this matchup.
