WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Washington Spirit return from the international break with a rivalry match against Gotham FC at Audi Field on Saturday, Oct. 17, with kickoff set for 12:30 p.m.
Only three regular-season games remain for Washington, and with playoff seeding still unsettled, each result can move the Spirit up or down the table. The team went through training Tuesday in Leesburg ahead of the visit from New Jersey.
Gotham has had the upper hand in the series lately. Washington has not beaten Gotham since 2024, when the clubs played to a 1-1 draw on Nov. 16 and the Spirit moved on by winning the penalty shootout 3-0.
Saturday is the first of the final three for the Spirit, who will be looking to lock down a favorable spot before the postseason begins.
