The Grand Ho Tram resort is set to expand with new luxury facilities.
The Grand Ho Tram, Vietnam’s first large-scale luxury integrated resort, is set for a US$1 billion expansion. This development aims to accommodate 18,000 guests daily and attract 100 million international visitors annually. The resort will enhance its facilities with new luxury hotels, villas, and entertainment complexes, aligning with Vietnam’s goal to boost tourism. Improved accessibility through the upcoming Long Thanh International Airport is also expected to support this growth, solidifying The Grand Ho Tram’s role as a premier destination in Southeast Asia.
The Grand Ho Tram, Vietnam’s pioneering large-scale luxury integrated resort, is set to undergo a significant expansion with a planned investment of US$1 billion. Announced in May, this development aims to transform the resort into a world-class destination capable of accommodating up to 18,000 guests daily and attracting up to 100 million international visitors annually.
Located along the scenic coast of Ho Tram, approximately two hours from central Ho Chi Minh City, The Grand Ho Tram has been operational since 2013. It comprises three hotel towers, including the InterContinental Grand Ho Tram with 543 rooms, the Holiday Inn Resort Ho Tram Beach with 561 rooms, and Ixora Ho Tram by Fusion offering 164 residences and 64 villas. The resort features a casino, renowned golf courses designed by Greg Norman, 19 diverse restaurants and bars, nine swimming pools, and three spas, catering to a broad spectrum of leisure and entertainment needs.
The resort emphasizes varied recreational activities for guests of all ages, including water sports, beach access, a dedicated Game Zone, karaoke lounges, and a cinema. The Bluffs Grand Ho Tram golf course has gained international recognition, ranked 68 on Golf Digest’s World’s 100 Greatest Golf Courses and honored as Southeast Asia’s Best Golf Course 2024. Culinary offerings are extensive, with 19 dining options ranging from gourmet to casual Asian cuisine, supporting a vibrant leisure experience.
As part of its long-term strategy, The Grand Ho Tram is unveiling a new development theme called District Vui – Quận Vui. This initiative aims at creating a comprehensive haven for guests of all ages, expanding its appeal beyond leisure to include cultural and entertainment attractions.
The expansion plan encompasses a sprawling 35-hectare area, incorporating new five-star hotels and luxury resort villas. It will also feature a multi-sport and entertainment complex, a wellness and medical spa center, and an international convention and exhibition center. This infrastructure upgrade is designed to enhance the resort’s capacity for hosting large-scale events, including combat sports, beauty pageants, company retreats, and exclusive product launches.
The development is strategically positioned to benefit from improved connectivity, with the upcoming Long Thanh International Airport located approximately 50 km from the resort. This new airport is expected to streamline travel options, attracting more international visitors to the region.
The resort’s modern business infrastructure includes a grand ballroom, flexible meeting rooms, and outdoor event spaces, positioning The Grand Ho Tram as a premier location for conferences, exhibitions, and social gatherings. The capacity for greater attendee numbers aligns with Vietnam’s broader ambitions to boost tourism and hospitality sectors.
Vietnam’s Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism has set ambitious targets, aiming for tourism to contribute up to 17% of the nation’s GDP by 2030. The expansion of The Grand Ho Tram aligns with these goals, bolstering Vietnam’s position as a key player in the Asian integrated resort market.
The planned investment and development are expected to significantly enhance Vietnam’s tourism infrastructure, attracting higher volumes of international visitors and supporting the country’s broader economic growth in hospitality and related industries. The new amenities and expanded capacity will further establish The Grand Ho Tram as a leading luxury resort in Southeast Asia.
Overall, the US$1 billion expansion of The Grand Ho Tram marks a major milestone for Vietnam’s tourism sector, reflecting a strategic move to elevate the country’s offerings and competitiveness on the global stage.
