Throughout its history, MLS has attracted renowned international players such as Lionel Messi, David Beckham, and Zlatan Ibrahimović. Messi, who joined Inter Miami in 2023, has made a notable impact, scoring 49 goals and providing 24 assists in 59 matches. His arrival signals MLS’s rising prominence on the global stage.
David Beckham’s influence was pivotal in elevating MLS’s profile. His tenure with LA Galaxy saw the team win two MLS Cups in 2011 and 2012, while Beckham himself became an enduring figure of the league’s international appeal.
