Selma – Two young leaders from Selma, Taylor and Gabrielle Cowan, recently participated in the National Police Athletic/Activities League’s 2025 Leadership and Mentor Youth Summit held in Washington, D.C. from July 11 to July 14. The summit brought together over 300 participants from 22 states, all selected for their exemplary contributions to their respective PAL programs, which serve more than two million youth annually across the nation.
The primary goal of the summit was to cultivate essential leadership skills among attendees, preparing them for success in school and various career paths.
