PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. — Charlie Woods made his college choice official Friday, signing with the Florida State men’s golf program during a national signing day ceremony at The Benjamin School.
The 17-year-old son of Tiger Woods first gave the Seminoles a verbal pledge in February. On Friday he pulled on a white Florida State cap, and his father, a 15-time major champion, showed up wearing a Seminoles shirt.
Charlie Woods sits 133rd in the Rolex Rankings kept by the American Junior Golf Association. He is part of a strong Florida State signing class for 2027 that also includes Miles Russell, the top-ranked junior in those standings.
Earlier this week, he shot a 1-under 70 as The Benjamin School won the Florida regional title at Miami Shores Country Club. In May 2025 he captured the Team TaylorMade Invitational on the AJGA circuit, and he signed a name, image and likeness deal with TaylorMade in September.
Florida State has reached the NCAA Tournament in five of the past six seasons and finished second nationally in 2024.
Tiger Woods played two seasons at Stanford, earning All-America honors both years, before turning professional.
