KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The New York Jets will be without their top pass catcher when they visit the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. Coach Aaron Glenn said Friday that wide receiver Garrett Wilson, still in the concussion protocol, is out for the game at Arrowhead Stadium.
Wilson was hurt on the second-to-last play of last Sunday’s loss to Las Vegas and went into the protocol Monday. He leads the team with 43 catches, 527 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Linebacker Trevin Wallace was also ruled out.
There is some good news for New York. Running back Breece Hall, sidelined since late September by a quad injury, took part in full practice Friday along with rookie edge rusher David Bailey and tight end Mason Taylor, and all three are expected to play. Bailey sat out Week 8 with a groin injury.
Defensive tackle Harrison Phillips, cornerback Nahshon Wright and edge Joseph Ossai are listed as questionable.
The Jets are 2-6 and have lost three in a row.
Kansas City has become a much better running team this fall after adding Kenneth Walker III in free agency. The Chiefs ranked 25th in rushing last season at 106.6 yards a game but entered the week sixth at 134.1.
Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. Eastern.
