SEATTLE, Wash. — Running back Zach Charbonnet will play his first game of the 2026 season when the Seattle Seahawks host the Chicago Bears on Monday night, coach Mike Macdonald said, about nine and a half months after Charbonnet tore his ACL in the playoffs.
Charbonnet carries no injury designation for the 8:15 p.m. ET kickoff. He was hurt in Seattle’s divisional-round win over San Francisco on Jan. 17. Last season he served as the bigger back in a split with Kenneth Walker III, running for 730 yards and a team-best 12 touchdowns. Walker now plays for Kansas City.
Rookie Jadarian Price, the 32nd pick in the spring draft, also has no designation after sitting out four games on injured reserve because of a chest injury. Seattle would have to move him onto the 53-man roster by Monday afternoon, and Macdonald said any such move would come that day. Each back was a full participant in two practices this week and limited in another.
Emanuel Wilson has led the Seattle backfield in their absence, with 403 rushing yards and three touchdowns, including a 100-yard game in the Week 7 win over Kansas City. George Holani has 108 yards on 36 carries. Chicago enters ranked third in the league against the run.
Seattle has ruled out left tackle Charles Cross with an ankle injury, receiver Rashid Shaheed with a knee injury and running back Velus Jones Jr. with a hamstring injury. Outside linebacker Uchenna Nwosu is doubtful with an ankle problem. Josh Jones will start at left tackle, and second-year receiver Tory Horton is in line for more snaps and return work. Linebackers Drake Thomas and Chazz Surratt are back after injuries.
The Bears come in at 5-2 and the Seahawks at 4-3.
