LANDOVER, Md. — The Washington Commanders spotted the Philadelphia Eagles a 10-0 lead Sunday night, then shut them out the rest of the way in a 27-10 home win in Landover, Md., just outside Washington, D.C., that snapped a monthlong winless stretch.
Washington, back from its bye week, had a rough start. The Commanders drew four flags on their first nine snaps, Drew Stevens missed a 55-yard field goal and tight end Chig Okonkwo lost a fumble. Saquon Barkley turned that into a 3-yard touchdown run.
Stevens answered with a 56-yard kick and finished with four field goals. Jayden Daniels found Stefon Diggs for an 8-yard score in the second quarter, his fifth touchdown catch of the season, and a later field goal made it 13-10 at the half. Daniels threw for 217 yards and earned his first victory in a starting role since an October 2025 win over the Chargers.
The defense did the rest, sacking Tanner McKee five times, taking the ball away for a fifth straight game and holding Philadelphia to 30 rushing yards from Barkley on 13 carries. Treylon Burks led Washington with 81 receiving yards. The Eagles have lost six in a row.
At 2-4-1, the Commanders trail the NFC East-leading New York Giants by two games.
